Assignment 1A

 My Personality Traits

I must say that based on the personality test, I was once again not shocked by the results. My personality test on came back stating I am an ENFP.

Extroverted (E) 75%
Introverted (I) 25%
Intuitive (N) 68%
Sensing (S) 32%
Feeling (F) 60%
Thinking (T) 40%
Perceiving (P) 59%
Judging (J) 41%

Again, I have found that the last decade of my life and the experiences I have gone through have truly transformed my behavior and my personality. I come from being the shyest and most introverted child that possibly ever walked the face of the planet to having the realities of life and necessity force me into a new personality. My job within the corporate world forced me to open up and have a voice, and then as a leader I was forced into an even more extroverted role that I have become a completely different human being. I hope that my experience as an introverted young adult and understanding what that feels like and now being extroverted as an older adult will help me gain a better understanding to all my students and their personalities. I feel like I can hopefully relate to more students because I have truly lived in both worlds and that experience will allow me to understand my student’s unique perspectives better. I do feel that my overall challenge will be to find a place within myself that is grounded and rooted in balancing and maintaining a middle ground within all my personality traits. I was once told by a former boss that my biggest success and my greatest downfall as a leader will come from the same place; my all or nothing personality. As much as I resented her in the moment I found that she was absolutely right, that character trait has been the best and worst thing in my life. If I can consistently manage that personality trait with my students and my teaching, I think I will hopefully have a decent shot at success…
